On 4-5 December, 2019 the German-Ukrainian Cooperation in the field of Organic Agriculture (COA) conducted the Training in the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine „Implementation of Organic Law 2496-VIII: Guidance on the Application of ISO/IEC 17065 to Organic Control Bodies”.

Together with representatives of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine and sector representatives, we identified that the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine required immediate support for the effective implementation of the Law 2496-VIII “On the Basic Principles and requirements to organic production, circulation and labelling of organic products". Toward this and in frame of the project an international expert Tom Nizet was invited to Ukraine to conduct two-day training for NAAU specialists, which will be further involved in the process of accreditation of organic certification bodies. At the event was successfully combined the theory and practice of the international accreditation procedures for organic certification bodies and special requirements of the Law of Ukraine. Generaly 23 participants, representatives of the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine and the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine passed the training.
