  • Preparation of a joint strategy coordinated with all the actors to implement the organic agriculture law and its implementation regulations.
  • Conclusion of an agreement between the actors concerned and the project in which the responsibilities of the relevant authorities, the provision of the required resources and the methods of collaboration with the project, particularly the assignment of actual contacts at the relevant institutions for project personnel are set out in binding, concrete terms.
  • Preparation of a binding coaching plan, including the definition of milestones and topics which can be enhanced using seminars and workshops and their implementation by the appropriate experts.
  • Regular updating and documentation of coaching procedures, definition of the status quo and derivations of other required consultancy.
  • Clarification of the collaboration with the FiBL (and other) project(s) and, if necessary, the definition of the modes of collaboration and the division of labour with the project.
  • Provision of expertise for setting up the registers required by the organic agriculture law.
  • Selection of a pilot region together with the Ukrainian partners for the pilot implementation of the organic agriculture law at a regional level and the definition/coordination of a concept to introduce the mechanisms for implementing the organic agriculture law at a regional level.
  • The provisional practical support for the authority personnel responsible for implementing the organic agriculture law in the selected region.
  • Regular presentation of the progress of the implementation of the organic agriculture legislation to major actors within the sector.
  • Completion of three study trips for authority personnel to an EU country with the objective of finding out more about the practical work conducted by authorities for implementing the EU organic regulation.
  • Preparation of a manual for implementing EU-compliant organic agriculture legislation in the Ukrainian context.
  • Preparation of a study on the micro and macro-economic effects the implementation of the organic agriculture law and support for its use in the formulation of a support policy for organic agriculture.
  • Appointment of a coordinator to control the start-up and development processes for the knowledge platform.
  • Definition, coordination and implementation of a work plan to complete and commission the platform.
  • Clarification of the responsibilities for individual components of the platform in the operating phase and establishment of mechanisms for interaction with them.
  • Provision of the required technical and financial resources for the establishment of the platform.
  • Monitoring the development and completion processes by experts.
  • Preparation of an operator handful including a quality management system and introduction of a mechanism for updating it on a regular basis.
  • Organisation of a publicity event to mark the start of the platform.
  • To complete the second phase, responsibilities will be identified to ensure technical support for the developed knowledge platform.
  • Ensuring the regular upload of current, quality-reviewed documents and relevant materials.
  • Organisation of regular events to demonstrate the benefits of the platform to the agricultural education sector.
  • Preparation and publication of a handbook for organic agriculture (animal husbandry and crop production).
  • Monitoring the use of the platform by education actors by regularly questioning demand and, if necessary, adjusting the platform contents and usage formats.
  • Completion of a status quo analysis of existing institutions in the organic agriculture sector.
  • Preparation of a selection grid (based on the status quo analysis) for the supported activities of relevant actors in the Ukrainian organic agriculture sector.
  • Organisation of information and training events on the application of the organic agriculture law and its relevance for actual businesses, institutions and dealers.
  • Preparation of an information brochure about the main content, duties and requirements for compliance with the organic agriculture law.
  • Support for suitable activities and events, and the documentation of the organisation of such activities and events and their effects.
  • Establishment of a round table or the like once per annum to discuss central topics of organic farming and documentation of the discussion results
