On May 23, 2024, Polissya National University and Organic Federation of Ukraine held the XIth International Scientific and Practical Conference "Organic Production and Food Security" in Zhytomyr. More than 120 scientists, producers, government officials, representatives of public and international organizations, as well as students participated in this event which took place in a hybrid format with the support of "German-Ukrainian Cooperation in the Field of Organic Agriculture" (COA) project.

The participants of this International Conference had an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest scientific research in organic production, with practical experience of leading Ukrainian producers of organic products, as well as hear presentations by government officials on state policy in the organic sector. Presentations of international participants of the conference, who spoke about their research and experience in the development of organic production in their countries and in the EU, were also interesting. During the conference, "German-Ukrainian Cooperation in the Field of Organic Agriculture" (COA)project presented Organic Knowledge Platform, 

a portal which was created in order to bring together all scientific, informational and practical materials about the organic sector available in Ukraine and make them available to a wide range of scientists, teachers, students, practitioners and participants of the organic movement.

The successful organization of this International Scientific and Practical Conference once again confirmed that the organic sector of Ukraine continues to work effectively, despite extremely difficult conditions, and that the development of the agricultural sector and other sectors of the Ukrainian economy is guided by European values and the aim of full integration into the EU.
