The event “Ukraine – One year after the war – Innovation power of organic farms” was organized by EEPO and COA. Moreover, COA presented during the event a new film which demonstrates in an impressivelyempathatic manner the main aspects of the life and work of organic operators in Ukraine during 2022.

The event was opened by Dr. Ophelia Nick, State Secretary of the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture, and Taras Vyssotzky, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agrarian Policya and Food of Ukraine. Dr. Nick stated in her greeting: “  Together we are strong - this motto counts especially in these times to secure and further develop organic farming in Ukraine even during the war.”
Anastasia Bilich, Head of the Marketing Department of the Arnica agro-industrial group of companies, states in the film: “We also have to realise that the world keeps moving, and when we get out — and we are sure to win this war — we will face the world that may already be working under completely different requirements, and it is very important for Ukraine to do this homework as well.”

The project's intentions are most confidently demonstrated by the team leader Dr. Stefan Dreesman's statement from the presented film: “Our project, the German-Ukrainian Cooperation in Organic Farming, will continue to support the organic sector in Ukraine. On all levels. For the development of the organic law in Ukraine. For the support of the authorities in Ukraine. For knowledge transfer. And, be sure, for the support of the organic farms in Ukraine. We stand with Ukraine”.

Together we are strong! In line with this motto, all major organic farming organisations were represented at the event, including Olena Korogod from Organic Ukraine, Eugene Milovanov from Organic Federation of Ukraine, Evgenya Yushchenko from Biodynamika Ukraina and Irina Kazakova from Permaculture Ukraina.
